NEW WEBINAR!

The Pelvic-Hip Bridge

Solve the Pelvic Puzzle from the Outside In!

For patients with chronic groin pain, “hip bursitis,” or pelvic floor tension, the hip joint is often the hidden driver. This 3-hour webinar teaches you how to bridge the gap between orthopedics and pelvic health. Using the GLS “Finding the Dysfunction” philosophy, you will learn to screen the hip capsule and SIJ for mechanical restrictions that force the pelvic floor to overwork. You’ll leave with a systematic, step-by-step manual therapy and loading progression that allows you to treat pelvic-related pain with confidence—starting Monday morning.

Webinar Schedule

The Pelvic-Hip Bridge Webinar Schedule Coming Soon…

At the completion of this seminar, the participant will be able to:

  • Confidently palpate and correctly differentiate each of the muscles covered in class in the upper extremity, trunk and lower extremity
  • Independently demonstrate how 10 muscle dysfunctions relate to common symptom patterns found within the body
  • Correctly and independently state and locate the origin and insertion of each of the muscles covered in the class
  • Describe at least 5 functional synergist patterns
  • Independently state at least 3 possible drivers of a dysfunction based on clinical presentations

At the completion of this webinar, registrants will be able to:

  • Clearly describe the anatomical and fascial relationship between the Obturator Internus and the pelvic floor, specifically explaining how hip joint dysfunction can reflexively drive pelvic floor hypertonicity.
  • Correctly identify 3 clinical “Red Flags” or systemic signs that indicate a patient’s pelvic-area pain may be non-musculoskeletal in nature and require medical referral.
  • Clearly outline the step-by-step “Hip Capsule Clear” evaluation sequence, including how to differentiate between a “hard” capsular end-feel and a “soft” muscular restriction in the hip rotators.
  • Correctly demonstrate the clinical reasoning for utilizing a Lateral Hip Distraction or a Posterior SIJ Glide to “neutralize” the pelvic ring before initiating core or pelvic floor strengthening.
  • Clearly describe the “Bottom-Up” fascial link, explaining how manual release of the adductor group and medial hamstrings can measurably decrease tension in the urogenital diaphragm.
  • Correctly apply the “Monday Morning” 2-Minute Screen (Prone Hip Internal Rotation) to identify the “driver” in a chronic hip or groin case that has previously plateaued with traditional isolated exercise.
