What Is a Live Hybrid Course—and Is It Right for You?
At Great Lakes Seminars, our Live Hybrid Courses have become a popular and permanent part of our continuing education offerings. Originally launched in 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, they’ve since evolved into a flexible, interactive, and high-quality option for clinicians across the country.
What is a Live Hybrid CEU Course?
A Live Hybrid Course offers the full experience of an in-person course—lecture and lab—broadcast live via Zoom.
Here’s how it works:
We host a small in-person group at our headquarters, where the instructor teaches the complete course. This includes full lecture content and live demonstrations of hands-on techniques during lab time. The entire course is streamed live to online attendees, who can interact with the instructor in real time through chat or audio.
During lab sessions, the instructor demonstrates techniques on a participant and then guides the in-person attendees as they practice. Online participants can choose to observe or practice techniques on a partner at home or in their clinic.
We’ve refined the format over the years to maximize the learning experience. We use professional-grade cameras and audio, with multiple angles and a mic’d instructor to ensure you hear every cue, correction, and clinical insight.
Who Are Live Hybrid Courses For?
While anyone can benefit from a Live Hybrid Course, we often see:
- Clinicians who want a specific course and the date works for them
- Those living in areas we don’t currently travel to
- Therapists facing an upcoming con ed deadline
- Caregivers or busy professionals who can’t easily leave home for a weekend

- Therapists with a patient or partner available to practice on during lab

What's Included with a Live Hybrid Course?
Our goal with Live Hybrid courses is to bring the in-person classroom experience directly to you! To help us accomplish this, our online registrants receive all the same materials as our in-person registrants!
You will receive:
- A printed course manual mailed to you in advance, plus a PDF version emailed prior to the course
- A laminated cheat sheet, giving you an easy visual reference for all the techniques you’ve learned (included for a majority of our courses)
- Full live continuing education credit, just like an in-person course
- Access to a recording of the course for review
