Comprehensive Review of Cervical Anatomy & Dysfunction

Course Description

Great Lakes Seminars' first online course is designed to provide a continued education of the neck and cervical areas of the body as well as refresh pertinent concepts involved in the practice of physical medicine.  Incorporated into the course are elements of neck anatomy including muscles, ligaments, joints, discs and nerves.  The course also outlines the biomechanics of the cervical neck as well as common dysfunctions and associated diagnoses.

  • One presentation with five sections
  • One corresponding journal article
  • Two multiple choice/true false assessments

Pass each assessment with an 80% or better to receive your certificate immediately following the course.  Registrants have 3 opportunities to take the assessments.  The course is available for 90 days from the date of purchase.  You can save your work at any time and come back to to complete it.

 Course Objectives

At the completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  • recall from memory, the actions, origins, functions and proper locations of 10 muscles/muscle groups
  • recall from memory, the actions, origins, functions and proper locations of 6 ligaments/ligament groups
  • recall from memory, the origins, functions, and proper biomechanics of the upper cervical spine and lower cervical spine
  • recall from memory, the proper naming and innervation of 3 nerves
  • recall from memory, the causes and/or solutions of 10 cervical and cervical-related dysfunctions
